Cinderella Wears Purple—20th Anniversary Celebration

On the 20th anniversary of the greatest sports accomplishment in NSU history, former basketball coach Mike McConathy and members of the 2005–06 Demons team will reunite at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum to reflect on NSU’s unforgettable 64–63 NCAA Tournament upset of 15th-ranked Iowa.
The “Demons of Destiny” stunned the Hawkeyes on a last-second shot by Jermaine Wallace, completing a dramatic comeback. Join coaches and players for a reception and roundtable discussion as they revisit that thrilling game. This event is free and open to the public.
