National Library Week

National Library Week is April 19–25, and the Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) is celebrating all week long at the Main Branch with activities, giveaways, and fun for all ages.
Enjoy interactive games like “Judge a Book by Its Cover,” book-themed crafts, a selfie station, and free replacement library cards. Visitors can also stop by for complimentary treats, including cookies (9 AM–12 PM), popcorn (3–5 PM), and cupcakes on Friday.
Join in the fun with daily dress-up themes for a chance to win prizes:
- Monday: Pajama Day
- Tuesday: Flashback Day
- Wednesday: Crazy Socks Day
- Thursday: Hat Day
- Friday: Team Day
- Saturday: Wear Red
“National Library Week is a special opportunity to celebrate with our community,” said NPL Deputy Director Rosalind Parker. “With activities, snacks, and prizes, it’s a fun way to explore all the library has to offer—free to the public.”
The NPL Main Branch is open Monday–Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
