Youth Fishing Derby

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will host a free Youth Fishing Derby at Natchitoches National Fish Hatchery in celebration of National Public Lands Day. Young anglers will have the opportunity to catch channel catfish from one of the hatchery’s stocked ponds. Youth are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, a limited number of rods will be available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
