DESCRIPTION:The UA Junior Tour is Coming to Louisiana – Fall 2025 (Shreveport Region)The Under Armour Junior Tour is officially making its way to Louisiana! This exciting tour is open to boys and girls ages 6–18 and offers young golfers the opportunity to grow their game\, gain competitive experience\, and represent the UA brand with pride. \nWhether you’re new to the sport or preparing for the next level\, this tour is built to challenge\, inspire\, and support junior golfers across the state. With PGA Champion Jordan Spieth now backing the UA Junior Tour\, the momentum behind junior golf has never been stronger—and it’s arriving right here in North Louisiana. \nFALL 2025 TOUR SCHEDULE:• October 4 – The Club at Huntington Park• October 11 – Querbes Park Golf Course• October 18 – Crooked Hollow Golf Club• November 2 – Cypress Bend Golf Course• November 9 – Tamahka Trails Golf Club• November 23 – The Hills at Northwestern \nEach player receives an official Under Armour player gift. The season includes six (6) 9-hole matches and championship medals. SUMMARY:Don't Die Wondering Gold Classic
DESCRIPTION:The 37th Don’t Die Wondering Golf Classic\, set for Sept. 13 at Northwestern Hills Golf Course\, on the state Highway 1 bypass\, remains the primary fundraising effort for the women’s basketball program under sixth-year head coach Anna Nimz.\nThe Don’t Die Wondering Golf Tournament began in 1989 at the behest of former head coach James Smith\, who took the phrase from a locker room speech by former NSU point guard Angela Ortega.\nEntry fees for this year’s event are $450 per team or $125 per individuals playing solo. The four-person\, 18-hole\, scramble format tournament will begin at 8 a.m.\, with a shotgun start.\nDuring their round\, golfers will have the opportunities to shoot for two new cars with a hole-in-one challenge as well as have their golf skills challenged throughout the course with various games\, skill challenges and other surprises along the way.\nFood and drinks will also be available at the club house and throughout the course.\nVisit www.NSUDemons.com/DDW for additional details on the tournament and information on how to sign up yourself of your team.\nHole sponsorships and corporate sponsorships for the event are also available. We tip off promptly at 8 a.m.\, with continental breakfast starting at 7 a.m.\, followed by the awards presentation for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place\, Longest Drive\, Closest to Pin and raffle prizes. \nAs many of you know\, this tournament raises funds for the James Oliphant Endowed NSU Football Scholarship each year\, and we hope you will join us again for a great day of laughter\, fellowship\, and yes\, COMPETITION.
