DESCRIPTION:Louisiana Poet Laureate Alison Pelegrin will present a selection of her poetry at a reading on Wednesday\, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Varnado Hall Ballroom at 541 University Parkway. There is no admission charge\, and the public is invited to attend.  “This will be a great opportunity for our students and larger community to hear Pelegrin’s poems\,” said Dr. Rebecca Macijeski\, Coordinator of the NSU Creative Writing Program.  “In addition to her impressive publication record and national acclaim\, she has deep ties to Louisiana. Her poems are present in this world we know here\, and remind us to pay attention to what speaks around us.”
