Saline Lake

Saline Lake, located in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, is a beautiful and expansive body of water known for its excellent fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation.  Fed by Saline Bayou, it is located near Black Lake/Clear Lake in Natchitoches and Winn Parishes.

Spanning approximately 8,400 acres, this shallow lake is teeming with a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and catfish, making it a favorite destination for anglers. The lake is surrounded by cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a picturesque and serene setting perfect for nature lovers and bird watchers. It is not compatible for recreational boating but is known as a fisherman’s paradise to locals.

Saline Lake is also a popular spot for kayaking, canoeing, and waterfowl hunting. With its peaceful atmosphere and abundant wildlife, it serves as a retreat for those looking to escape into nature while enjoying some of the best fishing in the region.

Saline Lake is located 21 miles northeast of Downtown Natchitoches, following Hwy. 6 to Hwy 28 toward Winnfield.
